We thank our Kickstarter backers and Vigilance Press supporters for helping us make this product a reality. We’re in the process of getting this PDF ready for print, but we do plan to update the final PDF on RPGNow with an updated version including bookmarks in the near future. Anyone who buys this version will be able to download the updated file from their library for no additional charge.

Backers should already have received instructions on how to get their copy of Tianxia: Blood, Silk & Jade from the Kickstarter forms. If you haven’t, contact me via Kickstarter or through the website here, and I’ll make sure you get your copy.

Greetings Vigilant Ones!

It’s been a busy couple of months, but we’re very close to the first major milestone for Tianxia: Blood, Silk & Jade! The PDF is in final approval now, and assuming we don’t need to make any changes we’ll be releasing it very shortly to our backers via RPGNow and Drive-Thru RPG. There will be an email coming to you with instructions on how to do this, so keep an eye on this space and the Kickstarter update page.

For those of you who joined after the Kickstarter campaign ended, you have until February 28th, Friday, to finish your BackerKit profiles and make sure your payments went through. For many of you, this is simply book-keeping to make sure I have your information accurately entered into BackerKit, but for some this is a final chance to complete payment on your rewards. Check your spam filters for BackerKit invites and if you don’t have one, be sure to let me know!

With luck, the final PDF will be going out to backers as early as this weekend, but it should be next week at the latest!

We’ll be asking for feedback from our ardent followers before sending the PDF files to the printer, and instructions for that will be released shortly after the instructions to obtain your copy of the PDF.

Tianxia Backers: You should have an email now allowing you to sign up for Backerkit. Please check your shipping info and other information and make any changes you need to. The backers list for the Scroll of Names has already been sent to Nathan for final layout, so if you have any changes to that, we may not have time to work that in unless there’s a problem with spelling or something critical that didn’t make it through the transfer from Kickstarter’s survey tools. Please email me through the Kickstarter message tool immediately and I will point Nathan at any dire problems.

If you wanted to back the project but missed out on the Kickstarter Campaign, you may also message me through the Kickstarter message tools or my email here, and I will add your email manually to the Backerkit and give you access to the $15.00 or $45.00 reward tiers. You’ll need to pay for the balance (you’ll start with $0.00 of credit) in BackerKit, but that’s as simple as can be with BackerKit’s credit card payment system.

In our latest campaign update, I let everyone know that we’re going to unlock the fiction anthology if we reach 1,000 backers, no matter what our total take is. 

There’s also a bit of original fiction from Jack Norris, a taste of the upcoming Tianxia: War, Iron & Stone PDF supplement.

I also mention some of the amazing authors we have already announced: Robin D. Laws, T.S. Luikart, Gareth Skarka, Michael Underwood, Allen Turner, Aaron Rosenberg, and Jack Norris.

There’s one more author I’d like to announce now: John Rogers.

You may know John’s work on the TV show Leverage, or you may know him from his guest appearance on Wil Wheaton’s “Tabletop” show, or you may be like me and know him from his work in comics. He’s a fantastic author, and a fan of role-playing games and Fate Core. When I saw he had backed our project, I was excited. When I contacted him about the anthology and he agreed to participate (we extended the deadline a bit to enable his participation) I was thrilled!

We may be announcing a few more authors before the book comes out, but I couldn’t wait to share this one with everyone. Thanks to all of the amazing authors for their enthusiasm for the project.
